Terms and Conditions

Introduction

0.1 - This document describes the rules that apply to any party (“Customer”) using any products and services (“Services”) provided by The Neotango Collective. This includes Supporters, Full Members, and general users of our Services.

General

1.1 - By using any Services provided by The Neotango Collective you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 - This document should be read in conjunction with our Data Privacy Policy, and our Inclusion and Diversity Policy.

Members

2.1 - The Neotango Collective exists for the benefit of its Supporters, Associate Members, and Full Members ("Members").

2.2. - If a Member breaches any of these Terms and Conditions the Committee may take appropriate action to suspend or exclude the Member from The Neotango Collective.

2.3 - Members shall not do anything that might bring The Neotango Collective or any of its Members into disrepute.

2.4 - Members must be involved in teaching tango, organising tango events, or providing services to those that do.

2.5 - The Neotango Collective makes no distinction between professional, semi-professional, amateur, part-time, occasional, or any other way of describing the percentage of time a Member spends on tango, or the amount of income they receive from tango. Members must not discriminate against any other Member in any way based on any of these criteria.

Full Members

3.1 - Full Members must have a clearly defined policy on Inclusion and Diversity in place for their organisation.

3.2 - Full Members must have a clearly defined Data Privacy policy or statement in place that describes what data is collected, how it is used, and how compliance is maintained with all applicable data protection legislation.

3.3. - All required documents must be publicly accessible at all times and shall be displayed at a Full Member’s venue or place of operation, online on the Full Member’s website, and anywhere else appropriate to the Full Member’s organisation.

3.4 - Note: Pro-forma or template policies can be downloaded from our Document Library page on the website.

Acceptable Use

4.1 - Inappropriate Content

Customers must not use the Services to transmit or store any content or communications that is illegal, harmful, unwanted, inappropriate, objectionable, confirmed to be criminal misinformation, or otherwise poses a threat to the public.

This prohibition includes use of the Services by a hate group or content or communications that originate from a hate group or are exploitive, abusive, or hate speech.

4.2. - Prohibited Activities

Do not use the Services to engage in or encourage any activity that is illegal, deceptive, harmful, violating others’ rights, or harmful to the business operations or reputation of The Neotango Collective or any of our Members.

4.3 - Reverse Engineering

Customers must not attempt any activity that would reverse enginee, copy, disassemble, or decompile the website or any other software tools or services offered by The Neotango Collective.

4.4 - Falsification of Identity

Customers must not create a false identity or make any attempt to mislead others.

4.5 - Service Integrity Violations

Do not violate the integrity of the Services in any way, including:

  • 4.5.1 - Attempting to bypass, exploit, defeat, or disable limitations or restrictions placed on the Services.
  • 4.5.2 - Finding security vulnerabilities to exploit the Services or attempting to bypass any security mechanism or filtering capabilities.
  • 4.5.3 - Facilitating any denial of service (DoS) attack on the Services or any other conduct that attempts to disrupt, disable, or overload the Services.
  • 4.5.4 - Using any code, files, scripts, agents, or programs intended to do harm, including viruses or malware, or using automated means, such as bots, to gain access to or use the Services.
  • 4.5.5 - Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Services.

4.6 - Data Safeguards

The customer is responsible for determining whether the Services offer appropriate safeguards for the customer’s use of the Services, including, but not limited to, any safeguards required by Applicable Laws, prior to transmitting or processing, or prior to permitting End Users to transmit or process, any data or communications via the Services.
